The university is great for any type of person as long as you will be happy in a large urban school. Although sometimes you forget your in a city and feel like Temple is its' own bubble.

Yes, Temple is a dry campus. All residence halls are dry, and residents over 21 years old cannot bring alcohol into the residence halls. There are two bars on campus - Maxi's and the Draught Horse - but only serve patrons 21 years and over.

Students, even those 21-plus, are unable to possess alcohol in Temple's student housing: This is just one aspect of a “dry campus.” Main Campus is not defined as a dry campus. However, students, both underage and of age, are not allowed to possess alcohol in Temple housing.
Scholarships are only offered for eight consecutive semesters. One of our scholarships is the President's Scholar Award, which is a merit-based scholarship that awards full tuition to selected students.
Overall reports of serious crime on or in public areas immediately adjacent to the main North Philadelphia campus have actually declined, according to Temple's Clery reports. Between 2017 and 2021, they fell by nearly half, from 104 incidents to just 66 last year.
